Life Hacks for successful posterior restorations
Lifehack 1
TIGHT INTERPROXIMAL CONTACTS
- Start always with the reconstruction of one interproximal contact
- Apply all needed partial matrix bands and wedges.
- Place one matrix ring only to restore the first contact point in composite.
- After light curing the interproximal wall, shift the matrix ring to the next interproximal contact.
Lifehack 2
AVOID MAJOR OCCLUSAL ADJUSTMENTS
- Adjustments are mostly caused by wrong cusp inclination and too shallow main fissure.
- Check prior excavation the cusp inclinations by holding the dental mirror inclined above the dental arch.
- Re-check inclination prior light curing of each cusp.

MASKING OF DARK DENTINE DISCOLOURATIONS
Shallow cavity: Use thin layer of Venus Diamond Flow Baseliner on discolouration, cover with thin layer of opaque dentine shade of Venus Diamond/ Pearl prior Venus Diamond/Pearl ONE application.
Deep cavity: Build up dentine core by opaque dentine shades of Venus Diamond/Venus Pearl prior Venus Diamond/Pearl ONE placement.
