70 years of Kulzer Technik – everything began with Technovit
As early as the early 1950s, the idea was born to not limit the competence in polymer technologies to dental applications, but to transfer it to other markets as well. Thus, in 1953, the fast-curing polymer Technovit – an important basic material for materialographic tests – was introduced to the market. The launch of Technovit was thus also the birth of Kulzer Technik and the start of a success story.
From disinfectants to veterinary medicine – for seven decades now, Kulzer Technik has not only ensured that cows' claws are optimally cared for, nails look beautiful and work surfaces are hygienically clean. The product range also includes jewellery colours, histology, materialography and products for repairing ceramics.
1953 - Materialography
Technovit – the embedding resin for quality assurance
Technovit embedding resins make an indispensable contribution to the quality assurance and failure analysis of countless everyday objects. And zoo animals have also been helped: The tusk of a zoo elephant and the injured shell of a zoo turtle have already been repaired with Technovit. Learn more about materialography
1958 – Histology
Five years later the histology department was added. Whenever tissue structures need to be examined, histological embedding resins are used. For example, in early diagnosis, conspicuous tissue samples are taken and stabilised by embedding them in resin. 1963 – Veterinary Medicine
